Félag íslenskra snyrtifræðinga er fagfélag sem flestar snyrtistofur landsins eru aðilar að. Markmið félagsins er að viðhalda menntun snyrtifræðinga og faglegu starfi landsmönnum til góða.
Snyrtifræði er löggild iðngrein. Menntun snyrtifræðinga tryggir neytendum faglega ráðgjöf og sérhæfða meðhöndlun andlits og líkama með heilbrigði og vellíðan í huga fyrir konur og karla.
Snyrtifræðingar snyrta meðal annars hendur og fætur og þeir lita, plokka og farða einstaklinga fyrir öll tækifæri. Að auki bjóða þeir upp á fjölda sérhæfðra meðferða og veita ráðgjöf um notkun á snyrtivörum.
Snyrtifræðingar meðhöndla ýmis húðvandamál ásamt því að viðhalda eðlilegri starfsemi heilbrigðrar húðar. Eftir nákvæma greiningu húðar sérsníða þeir meðferð að þörfum hvers og eins.
