Í tilefni af umræðu síðustu daga um samkomutakmarkanir heilbrigðisráðherra til að sporna við útbreiðslu kórónuveirunnar hafa Félag íslenskra snyrtifræðinga, Félag hársnyrtisveina, Meistarafélag hársnyrta og Félag hársnyrtimeistara á Norðurlandi gefið út eftirfarandi yfirlýsingu:
Félögin eru sammála um mikilvægi þess að sýna ábyrgð á þessum tímum og hlýta í hvívetna tilmælum sóttvarnaryfirvalda. Samstaða er nauðsynleg til að bregðast við vánni og tryggja heilsu og öryggi samborgara okkar. Félögin munu ekki láta sitt eftir liggja í þeim efnum en árétta þó nauðsyn þess að stjórnvöld tryggi með mótvægisaðgerðum sínum rekstrargrundvöll fyrirtækjanna og dragi úr tjóni einstakra atvinnurekenda vegna umræddra lögbundinna lokana og tekjufalls. Ennfremur er nauðsynlegt að gæta jafnræðis og tryggja að allir sitji við sama borð sem veita sambærilega þjónustu.
